在全球化和科技進步的時代裡,英文溝通能力顯然成為終生需要學習的能力。在台灣的英語教育中,整體偏向重視英文閱讀、文法以及寫作的培養,就連台灣學生英文學習的目標大多是追求卓越考試成績而非流暢的英語溝通。在台灣的大學體制中,除非是英語相關系所,其他科系的學生鮮少有機會開口說英文,尤其是理工相關科系的學院。然而由於科技產業日趨重視英語口語溝通能力,對於理工科系的學生除了具備專業能力,英文溝通能力也尤其重要的。有鑑於體認專業英語溝通力對資訊工程領域畢業生的重要,本研究特別為台灣北部某大學的資訊科技與工程研究所研究生客製化了為期12週的英語圓桌專業課程。其中16名首次參與英語圓桌專業溝通課程的一年級自願

參與本研究學生為重點研究參與者。本研究旨在探究相互教學法和口說鷹架在提升資工研究生口說能力的成效。本研究並進一步探究資工研究生對於相互教學法和口說鷹架所架構的英語口說圓桌專業課程的態度。鑑於研究目標,本研究主要提出兩項研究問題:(1)相互教學法和口說鷹架的運用有助於提升資工研究生的口說能力? (運用多益口說為評量工具)(2)資工研究生對於相互教學法和口說鷹架的效用態度是什麼?為了探究資工研究生的口說能力是否在參與英語口說專業圓桌課程中進步,本研究運用多益前後測來進行口說能力的評估,至於資工研究生的態度調查則運用問卷以課前和課後的方式來探討學生學習態度的變化。本研究以量化研究來分析資工生多益成績

和態度問卷調查。研究結果顯示運用相互教學法和口說鷹架有助於學生口說能力的提升,其中在多益口說題型“意見表達”部分有顯著的進步。資工研究生參與了為期12週的圓桌溝偷課程,也展現正面的的學習態度,同時對於自我英文能力自信心的提升也有目共睹。總結來說,本研究對於探討相互教學法和口說鷹架對於提升研究生英文能力的效用提供重要的觀點,參與學生同時也呈現正面的學習態度。本研究的英語口說專業圓桌課程以相互教學法和口說鷹架為理論架構的課程,奠基在有系統的口說角色討論,教師和學生立即的協助,合作式互動和客製化的課程內容讓學生在英文口說溝通成長的同時也替他們為未來更好的工作前景而準備。
