近幾年,數位音樂市場興起,將音樂專輯發行漸漸轉型為在線上數位化的影音平台發布,現在人們在各大影音平台上都能隨時隨地的聽歌,唱片已不再是人們聽歌的唯一載體,從而轉變為收藏的層面。由此可知,一張經典的唱片,不只唱片中的音樂好聽,音樂專輯的封面設計也是讓人想要收藏的因素之一,當購買專輯的因素不單單只是音樂內容而已,反而多了許多感性的層面,使得專輯封面設計將做為視覺與聽覺的平面設計產物,設計師將透過唱片包裝設計在包裝的形式及封面設計上精心製作出,能讓聽眾、粉絲感受到聽覺的享受及視覺上的衝擊,享受這種多重感官魅力。一張優秀的專輯封面設計能為帶來不斐的銷售成績,能夠直接影響大眾購買專輯的因素,在傳播過程

有著重要的作用。本研究目的,將採用魅力工學(Miryoku engineering)的研究方式來進行探討專輯封面吸引人並具有影響力得獎的魅力因素及特質,以及其抽象感受與具體設計之間的關係。本研究樣本以近三十年的葛萊美最佳音樂專輯封面設計獎(Grammy Award for Best Recording Package)之得獎作品來探索其魅力因素。首先透過質化的深度訪談法,來訪談10位在設計領域具有高涉入度者,將訪談結果整理並繪製評價構造圖(Evaluation Grid Method),歸納出影響專輯封面設計的主要魅力元素,建構出感性魅力因子和設計要素之間的關聯性,探討出提升樂迷與評審喜好因子

。最後再利用網路所發行的問卷資料,以問卷資料之結果,進行數量化I類(Quantitative Theory Type I)的分析。研究結果得知,在音樂專輯封面設計的魅力元素,可分為「專輯構圖」、「專輯配色」、「文字排版」、「專輯風格」這四大魅力因子,而其抽象感受與具體設計特質之間的關係如下:1.在專輯構圖方面,「文字畫面排版」是最看重的魅力,在視覺設計領域中,畫面構圖是非常重要的要素;2.專輯配色方面,可得知「具有吸引力」是會吸引大眾目光的重要具體因素,色彩在生活中占很大一部份,也是進入視覺的第一線;3.從文字排版方面,可知道「文字有設計感」是大眾對於文字排版的喜愛之具體魅力,在視覺設計中,文
