本研究關注年輕世代在日常的YouTube媒介使用，從電視「移居」至YouTube的概念出發，探究年輕世代如何將 YouTube融入日常生活節奏，並以社會使用理論檢視與傳統電視具有哪些相同及相異之處，並觀察年輕世代在使用YouTube過程中的各種情感連結和變化，初探年輕世代的個人化使用的樣貌，也試圖探究地背後更深層的社會文化意涵。 首先，YouTube移居現象的開始，在於行動裝置及網路的普及給予年輕世代從傳統電視脫逃的契機，YouTube打破傳統電視在時間及空間上的限制和其內容吸引力也促使年輕世代更快進入個人化的收視脈絡，除了有使用者生產內容（UGC）的穩固基礎，也有專業者生產內容（PG
