醫療圖像敘事的療癒之道

本論文藉著分析醫療圖像敘事Stitches (2009)來探討在閱讀醫療圖像的過程中,大腦的塑型性可能對讀者帶來什麼樣的改變進而在生命當中達到一個平衡。要了解圖像敘事就要從漫畫的演化、元素以及技巧開始分析,再來才能進入到文本。因此本論文的第一部份藉由史考特‧麥克勞德的作品《漫畫原來要這樣看》(1993)介紹圖像敘事這樣一個新興文類的發展變革、藝術語言、表現手法以及當代學者對於圖像敘事的看法,並且點出此文類運用某些手法在讀者身上能夠產生的效果。再來會延伸到圖像敘事與醫療人文之結合,探討在現在這個世代,醫療圖像已經是一個許多人會訴諸的手法來去闡述自己難以言喻的病痛以及醫療圖像能夠帶來什麼樣治癒的

效果。本文第二部分則是剖析大衛司摩醫療圖像的文本Stitches,並且探討作者運用了哪一些手法來引發讀者對於文本的理解、增強讀者的同理情感。在此一部分也會探討為何作者選擇使用醫療圖像來闡述他歷盡艱辛的悲慘童年以及他在經歷手術之後的傷痕,並且運用大衛‧比羅的理論—疼痛的譬喻—來闡述作者運用了那些譬喻手法。本文第三部分帶入瑪拉布塑形性之理論,闡述不同的塑形性有相對應不一樣運作的功能以及對人類大腦帶來什麼樣的影響。此一部分也會著重在塑形性,藉由每人生命當中所遭受過的經歷、記憶以及歷史,對大腦的不同運作;塑形性,藉由閱讀醫療圖像,能夠讓讀者,無論是遭遇過創傷的或者是心靈健全的,在生命當中達到一個什麼的
