顯示驅動IC是介於顯示面板及處理器之間,控制畫面的積體電路。為了要滿足市場的需求,顯示驅動IC需要採取高長寬比的設計,因而造成了水平繞線資源的不足。此外,在顯示驅動IC裡的電源線佔用了多層的金屬,也使繞線資源的更加缺乏。這些顯示驅動IC的特性造成了DRC違反的數量增加,使其比起其他積體電路更加難以繞線。我們的研究提出了兩種方法來改善DRC違反的數量。第一種作法是在擺放前限制特定模組的位置,使其能避免因電源線所造成的繞線擁擠,第二種作法則是在繞線密集的區域透過膨脹並重新擺放標準元件來減少繞線需求。從實驗結果可得知我們在所有顯示驅動IC的測資都能達到DRC違反數量的減少。

隨著電路設計規則日漸複雜,可繞度已成為擺置階段必須考慮的重要因素之一,然而作為過去所仰賴的依據,全域繞線擁擠圖放至今日已然無法體現可繞度的趨勢,若想獲得更全面且接近實際繞線的資訊,勢必得進行繞線流程包含全域以及細部繞線,而這相當費時,因此,如何準確且快速的獲得細部繞線資訊並以此做出對可繞度有效的改善是一門重要的課題。本篇針對有著極大長寬比並且容易因此產生嚴重可繞度問題的顯示器驅動晶片,提出一個能夠在擺置階段識別繞線擁擠的方法並以此產生擺置障礙來幫助我們解決上述問題。此方法透過分析繞線壅擠的聚集程度來預測是否會發生細部繞線錯誤以及其發生的位置,並且在這些位置上產生擺置障礙後重新進行擺置。實驗的

結果顯示,跟原本擺置系統的結果相比,我們提出的方法能準確預測細部繞線的錯誤的發生位置並有效減少其數量。此外,本方法可以建置在原有的自動化實體設計流程中,提供一個快速的解決方法來改善擺置的可繞度並且減少為解決細部繞線錯誤而重複進行的擺置和繞線次數。
