本研究旨在探究禮儀師目前現況、與家屬的互動經驗、工作的態度與看法，及所能達到悲傷輔導服務功能。本研究採質性研究內容分析法，以深度訪談的方式，以大臺北地區五位禮儀師為研究對象進行訪談，所得逐字稿資料進行編碼與分析，並以訪談札記及相關附件作為研究結果的佐證。根據訪談資料分析得到研究結果如下。一、臺灣禮儀師的現況包括：（ㄧ）殯葬禮儀規劃及諮詢；（二）殯殮葬會場之規劃及設計；（三）指導或擔任出殯奠儀會場司儀；（四）對臨終關懷與悲傷輔導的看法。二、禮儀師與家屬的互動經驗包括：（ㄧ）輔導層面：建立與家屬信任關係、調整與家屬工作界線、接納家屬不同價值觀；（二）陪伴層面：觀察家屬各種表達、尊重的溝通與姿態、
真誠主動用心服務、專注傾聽整理思緒、將心比心同理貼近；（三）協調層面：從家屬角度進行溝通、核對訊息提升掌控感、統整訊息使彼此認同；（四）指導層面：確實提醒相關步驟、提供專業具體意見、過去經驗作為警惕。三、禮儀師對工作的態度與看法包括：（ㄧ）社會層面：宣導殯葬新政策、改革早期殯葬形象、支持公益為優先；（二）業務層面：自我充實治喪專業、協助尋求社會資源、分析利弊把關權益；（三）教育層面：倡導傳承孝道文化、推廣正視生死觀點、指導殯葬儀節程序。四、禮儀師所能達到悲傷輔導服務功能包括：（ㄧ）使家屬接受失落的事實：增加失落的真實性、協助生者體認失落、鼓勵生者談論失落；（二）引導家屬經驗悲傷的痛苦：提供持續
的支持、轉換與逝者的關係連結、回憶與逝者之互動經驗、幫助生者表達情感、一般化悲傷行為、界定負向行為並轉介；（三）協助家屬重新適應逝者不存在的環境：關心生活上的改變、嘗試新的事物、從悲傷中轉移注意力、建立新的角色；（四）鼓勵家屬將情緒的活力重新投注在其他關係上：協助喪親者探索自身資源、提供社會支持網路、鼓勵回復生活機能。根據上述研究結果，本研究對諮商專業、禮儀師實務工作，以及後續相關研究提出建議，以供參考之用。

本論文主要在探討六堆地區的做福還福之文化。「做福」、「還福」是六堆客庄相當重要的歲時祭儀，這種宛若古代春祈秋報精神的祭祀活動，更是飲水思源、敬畏天地的具體展現。本文透過文獻分析法探究出做福還福之形成背景，並以參與觀察法擬出訪談大綱，接著與六堆各聚落之「禮生」進行深入訪談，藉此拼湊出做福、還福背後的文化意涵及區域異同。「做福」的意義為在新年度起始裡祈求能夠五穀豐收、闔家平安；「還福」則為感念伯公眾神在過去一年的保佑庇護，有年底還願的意涵在。從做福還福流程中的請伯公範圍、祭拜等儀式中不難發現當中隱含的「劃界」意涵，故這樣的祭祀活動在六堆客庄並非以行政區為單位，而是依「聚落」之發展形成了不同的舉辦
模式；再加上儀式流程中，「禮生」扮演著一個相當核心的角色，因此受到人為因素、聚落發展的影響，使得六堆客庄聚落產生了「同中有異」細部流程。然而改變的是人為的做法，真正儀式本身的意涵是不會有所改變的，因此探究出還神、三獻禮、拜新丁、渡孤等儀式的背後意義，也呈現出六堆地區做福還福祭祀活動中「異中有同」的特質。做福、還福發展至今，重點在於「必須做」，至於「誰去做」、「怎麼做」，皆有可能隨時代推移而改變，但若能瞭解每項儀式的其中意涵，傳承下來的便是「文化」而非僅僅只是外在的形式流程而已。這也是本論文最終的目的。
