述情障礙的特質最早在身心症患者中所發現,Sifneos(2000)形容述情障礙之特徵為:「無法使用適當的話語描述情緒感受,並在區辨情緒感受與軀體感受之表現顯著缺陷,缺乏內在幻想及現實刻板的思考模式」,此特質屬於相對穩定的人格特質,而非短暫狀態(Luminet et al., 2001)。述情障礙的特質不只與身心症有關,其傾向使用逃避型因應策略更導致述情障礙為許多生理、精神疾病之危險因子(Taylor et al., 1997; Moriguchi et al., 2007)。過去研究對於述情障礙者使用逃避型因應策略動機的探索多著重在其本身已有的情緒困難,顯示述情障礙與逃避型因應之間為持續不斷
的負向循環,然而因應歷程中個體自我特質及評估歷程亦為重要的一環(Lazarus & Folkman, 1984),因此本研究納入調節焦點與自我效能的觀點,假設自我效能為述情障礙與因應策略間的中介變項,調節焦點為此中介模式之調節變項,以進一步分析述情障礙者在因應策略選擇中自我及認知評估歷程。本研究共收取246位20歲以上社區民眾,採用「多倫多述情量表」、「簡明因應量表」、「調節焦點量表」及「廣泛性自我效能感量表」,以Hayes(2019)之Process 3.3模式15進行調節中介分析及模式4進行簡單中介分析。研究結果發現在述情障礙預測逃避型因應策略的部分將受到調節焦點所調節;當調節焦點偏向促進
焦點時將降低述情障礙對逃避型因應策略的預測,當調節焦點偏向預防焦點時則將提升,然而當個體高度傾向預防焦點時,調節中介模式成立,述情障礙將透過較低的自我效能而降低逃避型因應策略之使用。在述情障礙預測趨近型因應策略之預測路徑則受到自我效能所中介,自我效能提升將提高述情障礙對趨近型因應策略的預測。本結果意涵藉由調節焦點與自我效能的介入可打破過往對於述情障礙與逃避型因應策略之間的負向循環,可作為未來臨床實務工作者提供述情障礙特質者服務時之參考。
