近十年來,嘻哈已經成為世界青少年流行文化,現今的嘻哈文化成為一種流行音樂形式、時尚風格、生活方式。 1974 年普世祖魯國度率先嘻哈一詞來描述這個由五個元素所組成的文化:B-Boy(舞蹈藝術)、MC(文學與音樂藝術)、DJ(音樂藝術)、塗鴉(視覺藝術)並且以第五元素─知識─連結所有藝術形式,成為一個跨領域的藝術文化。 嘻哈除了藝術實踐之外也強調社區投入以促進文化發展。自 1991 年起,美國學者Powell 率先提出嘻哈在學術上的應用價值,隨後發展成嘻哈教學法,本研究將探討嘻哈及嘻哈教學法,並以此設計嘻哈課程,研究嘻哈課程對於高職表演藝術科學生文化智商程度之影響。

本研究以準實驗設計為主,質性研究為輔,研究者根據文化智商四維向度定義並參考學者 Ang, Van Dyne, Koh, Ng, Templer, Tay 與 Chandrasekar 於 2007 年所開發之文化智商量表,設計藝術文化智商量表檢測實施八週嘻哈課程之高職表演藝術科同學於嘻哈課程實施前後之文化智商影響。研究發現嘻哈課程能提升文化智商,在文化智商四維向度皆達顯著成長。 研究者以教師觀察日誌、嘻哈課程學習單及課後訪談紀錄作為質性資料輔助,企圖分析嘻哈課程影響學生文化智商之相關成因,嘻哈課程能將生活文化帶進教室,成為幫助學習者有效自主探索學習的教學方案,此方案能有效增加學生在學習中

的成就感,使教學者發現學生的興趣,並且鼓勵學習者「領導學習」,嘻哈中包含各項藝術元素,透過課程間的知識連結,能使學生有效的進行跨領域學習,嘻哈對於學生文化智商及多元能力發展有實際上的幫助。本研究提供未來嘻哈應用於教育及文化發展之研究價值。
