隨著老年化指數愈來愈高，照顧長者為每個國家所需面對的問題。老年人因生理機能的退化，日常生活中許多任務無法自理，因此產生自卑感與自怨自艾的心情；例如，因骨骼、下肢肌肉的退化，致使無法順利完成從座椅起身(sit-to-stand)的動作，如廁時尤其危險。因此需要輔助站立坐椅來協助完成站立起身之動作。目前市面上有一些關於輔助站立坐椅的產品與專利，但發現仍有缺失，本研究將參照市面上產品及專利進行改良設計，其主要目的如下：1. 安全性：將電動缸直接推動椅墊，運動過程椅墊不宜抬升過高，坐墊桿盡量繞著膝蓋中心迴轉；坐墊桿抬升過程中，腳必須可以完全踩於地面，不需要墊腳尖或臀部往下移動。2. 便利性：設計

必須構造簡單、無滑槽、維護容易。本研究將設計出可以協助老年人，自行完成從座椅起身(sit-to-stand)動作的輔助站立座椅。利用四連桿組與電動缸來設計”輔助站立座椅”，電動缸直接驅動椅墊桿(耦桿)，接著運用SolidWorks繪製進行工程設計、Inspire進行動態模擬分析。本研究所設計之”輔助站立座椅” ，可幫助使用者在生活達到”安全性與便利性” 之要求，且電動缸之最大推動力量較小且穩定，致其電動缸不容易損壞，提升產業競爭力。
